ATF Format

ATF, or Axon Text Format, is the format of files created by data analysis programs from Axon Instruments, Inc. The format was previously known as PAF.

The Axon Instruments GenePix layout and results files (gal and gpr) are also in the ATF format.

If the filter cannot read your ATF files, they may have been written by a newer version of pClamp. Check the Bruxton Web site to determine if an update is required.

Data

ATF files are designed to hold a single table of data. The table contains a number of columns and rows. Each column has a header describing the data contained in the column. Columns can contain either numerical data or text.

Comments

ATF files contain a set of comments. These comments are normally name-value pairs indicating analysis parameters and results.
