SON is the format of files created by the Spike2 program from Cambridge Electronic Design Limited.
If the filter cannot read your SON files, they may have been written by a newer version of Spike2. Check the Bruxton Web site to determine if an update is required.
SON files contain data from one or more channels. The channels can be of type:
Type
---
Adc
EventFall
EventRise
EventBoth
Marker
AdcMark
RealMark
TextMark
RealWave
The data for waveform channels are stored as a sequence of segments. Each segment represents a set of samples recorded continuously.
